Im Fokus der Studie steht das Versprechen der Schulinspektion, einem Instrument „neuer“ Steuerung im Schulsystem, auf die wirksame(re) Entwicklung von Schulqualität. Im Rahmen einer grundlegenden Reflexion und Problematisierung von Wirksamkeit in pädagogischen Kontexten wird am Gegenstand der Schulinspektion diskursanalytisch erforscht, in welchen Formen und Formaten das Wirksamkeitsversprechen entlang eines polyphonen Zusammenspiels aus Wissenschaft, Schulpraxis und Bildungspolitik Gestalt annimmt und welche Effekte auf die Konstitution schulischer Wirklichkeit und Akteurschaft mit ihm einhergehen.
