Another World Survival (Light Novel), Vol. 4: Min-maxing my Support and Summoning Magic

The book series is an interesting idea and can be fun to read. This particular book seems to have a major problem with the translation. I got about 80 percent through the book and just gave up. The story is nonsensical at times where it seems like it was machine translated with no oversight from an editor. Multiple times, the characters' names would not match the action of the story. I got to the point in the story when a new character who has been referenced by one name for multiple chapters is suddenly named something else that actually sounds like a name. Overall, it was just a poor effort from a smaller English translating company.

honestly it's a 3.5 but I'll give it a 4. translation problems asside, it's a great story. but the translation problems constantly interrupt the flow of reading. in the context sometimes you just end up skipping over it and missing it entirely but when it's obvious and you read through a paragraph not understanding what's going on but then finally understanding and then having to read it again with the proper nouns and pronouns and adjectives set in your mind to correct the mistakes, it can be frustrating doing it over and over.

1 and 2 were good reads. 3 was a little choppy at times. This one almost feels like it was written by an elementary school student. I love the story and the idea behind it. I am curious if the fault lies with the author or the translator though.
