This is book one of the trilogy and we end with a unexpected complication. Meet Vincent Valiant, a self made billionaire with the good looks and alpha attitude. Mackenzie Marshal is a woman with a career path in mind and a plan to get it in motion. Valiant Industries is hiring and it would be the sweetest addition and best place to gain marketing experience. There is a small glitch, the new marketing person will be filling in as a personal assistant for a few weeks to the CEO. I enjoyed reading and getting to know both Vincent and Mackenzie as individuals and watching them struggle with a purely professional relationship. With big twist, we are left wanting more, patiently waiting book two. Enjoy!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Self made billionaire Vincent Valiants worked hard to get where he is and was so not expecting Mackenzie Marshal. When Mackenzie gets the opportunity to work for Valiant Industries she took a chance but it comes with the complications in the form of alpha hotness Vincent. As she find herself as his admin until her dream job is in reach, but their professional relationship is in jeopardy as their chemistry heats up. What happens next was an enjoyable office romance with a mysterious boss.

I feel like I need more in order to fully comprehend and feel for the characters. There is a lot of push and pull which I love but here it seemed inconvenient. The story ends on a cliffhanger so I can only anticipate that we will get more in the next book.
