The author accomplishes the rare trick of having it both ways, delivering a fast-paced, action-packed storyline that challenges the mind. This novel turns out to be the rare adventure story that rewards the reader’s attention by being as diverting as it is rigorously encyclopedic. The ability to combine espionage, and terrorism in a tale that is rife with characters that could be ripped from today’s news is mind-blowing. The author drew me in with a colourful 3D visit of Roma, its streets, its restaurants, its historical monuments and plazas, the inhabitants and their culture.. - Ethan Jones delivers enough twists and surprises to keep readers fascinated. It contains action, grittiness,conspiracy, intrigue and well created characters. “She tried to justify her hard-heartedness..” Once again, Carrie shows herself relentless, even comes out as a cold hearted person, but that’s her job, she cannot succumb to her emotions and let them interfere in events where hard decisions have to be taken. Vatican Conspiracy is more than a novel; it is an impeccably framed thriller, and it has all the important benchmarks of a thrilling adventure: global conspiracy, shocking revelations. Carrie O’Connor returns with a mission to discover the identity of terrorists responsible for blowing up a plane. Right from the beginning Carrie’s mission takes a turn for the worst as it appears the Italian mafia is somehow involved. Things only get more complicated from there as Ethan Jones takes his character on an action-filled ride across Europe that leads right to the heart of one of the world's largest religions. This story hits all the extremely high standards that I’ve come to expect of its author. Fast paced well written story, compelling plot, interesting characters and those all important action scenes he delivers so well. We’re given great characters in some high stakes situations often fighting for their lives. How he keeps it all ‘clean’ is, I’d say, testament to his talent. This is a great action spy thriller with a plot worthy of the best of the genre.

The Vatican Conspiracy is Book 6 in the Carrie Chronicles & it's another 5-star winner by Ethan Jones! Carrie & her partner (& something more), Nathan, are searching for terrorists believed to have been responsible for the downing of an aircraft. Twists & turns throughout. There are indications that the Mafia is involved & then sends Carrie & Nathan down a rabbit hole. They link up with Gabriella whose brother is in the Mafia & has information they need. The brother is killed. Carrie is kidnapped by the Mafia who want her to track down their insider who has betrayed them. Lead after lead sends them chasing their tails until they wind up with indisputable evidence of a Cardinal's involvement in a plot to kill the Pope! Despite countless obstacles put in their way, Carrie & Nathan prevail in the end. This is a true page-turner; hard to put down once you start it. You won't be disappointed if you pick it up.
