Things are heating up at the Academy in more ways than one. Fiona learned an answer or two in that jaw-dropping conclusion of the fifth installment, and this sixth part of the serial gives her a few more, but with those answers come more questions. As Fiona struggles to come to grips with her roots - roots she didn't even know about - the tension rises and the stress takes its toll. It's where that stress leads her that is really intriguing, and of course, Becca Fanning has another big wow moment at the conclusion. This is part of a continuing story, so I would recommend starting at the beginning to get the full story of these terrific characters and the world this author has built. I was sucked in from the beginning and I can't get enough of this series.

Oh my giddy aunt is all I have to say. We finally know who Mr X is and its a doozy, we know more of Fiona and the Council boys and poor Fiona is left wrecked by the revelations and the pain she feels in tangible and left me feeling wrung out. I love the underlying humour especially in her interaction with the guys and how her relationship with them (well one in particular) is progressing and cannot wait to see if any other relationships develop. The answer to who robbed her of not one but two families has yet to be answered and will the fact that she now knows what the Council boys actually do put her in even more danger? Another cliffhanger has me on the edge of my seat waiting to read the seventh installment. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This sixth book 📚in this series is wonderful, it is entertaining and filled with action and intrigue. The interaction and chemistry between the characters is great. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
