Drew Wagar

Drew Wagar was born in Canada, but grew up in a quiet country village in Kent, in the United Kingdom.He graduated from the University of Brighton in 1992, with an honours degree in Computer Science and has worked in various capacities within IT since that time. He is now the Head of Application Development at Lloydâs of London.Outside of work he has a number of interests, including founding of the Mk1 Golf Ownersâ Club, and the Ashford Astronomical Society (where he is currently the chairman).Drewâs written a couple of popular short stories, based around the space trading game âOoliteâ, itself a âCreative Commonsâ remake of the classic 1980s game âEliteâ. Drewâs Oolite books are freely downloadable as Oolite is a âCreative Commonsâ production and âEliteâ remains under its authorsâ copyright.Drew is currently putting the finishing touches to a wholly original work, a fictional novel entitled âTornâ. This takes place in a contemporary setting and explores the interaction between faith and science.Drew is married, has two young sons, a cat and a dog. He doesn't require any double glazing or a conservatory.
